Great Scott

This is your stunningly handsome/dashing/what-have-you defcon music entertainment organizer checking in. I enjoy walks on the beach at sunset, candle-lit dinners, and listening to the soothing sounds of Enya before going to bed every night. During the day I'm a graduate student who works rather vaguely on the implications of pyschoacoustics in CMOS. By night, I make tunes, play out here'n'there and manage Internet radio station Glitch.FM.

Harbinger

he makes small children cry and women give birth on the dance floor and though little else is known about him, harbinger has been involved in the electronic dance music scene in one way or another and under one name or another since 1992. most of these names had to be changed as they started to show up on "most wanted" lists. one day (in 2008), while searching craigs list for a "rusty trombone" he instead found the sound known as dubstep and feeling as though he had to deliver a message to the world, adopted the moniker "harbinger," and began to spread the gospel.

HighSage

HighSage (aka "Shagghie" while at DefCon) has been producing Techno/House/Acid since early 2000, after spending years in the underground rave scenes in San Francisco, Chicago, London, Leeds, and San Diego. HighSage works in the older Detroit methods of producing music...analog drum machines, guitar pedals, TB-303's and other 16-step sequenced instruments/samplers, etc. In the last several years, he's taken the skills acquired in the studio and placed them squarely on the stage, doing what the industry calls 'Full Live PA's', using only hardware (no decks, no laptop, no loops, nothing pre-recorded). He also is known within the hacking community as the winner of the first defcon badge hacking contest, and other less sightly acts of disobedience and adventure. Props go out to Richard "skippy" Lindberg, Banasidhe, VictorJohn, DJ Jackalope, Prophei, Viru5, Trevor, Orlando, HD Moore, ex-INS'ers, and other wizards I'm forgetting that have shown me the way over the last decade.

Krisz Klink

I have been DJing since 1981 spinning 80's New Wave then Deathrock / Goth in the mid 80's at Zombie Zoo. In 1987 I also was an integral part of forming the early Acid House warehouse (rave) parties in Los Angeles and Burningman DJing early Goa Trance. In 1990 opened Kontrol Faktory (Industrial EBM) and closed in 1998. I was a resident DJ at Das Bunker for couple years. I have been DJing Defcon for well dont remember the first year ( hell of a long time ). I will be bleeding ears with Psytrance at Defcon 18.

Sugarpill

Sugarpill is a Los Angeles based dj/producer. Co-founder of abletontweets.com and has a weekly internet radio show Thursday nights on glitch.fm. soundcloud.com/sugarpill or sugarpillmusic.com for more.

The Nazty Boys

The Nazty Boys are a DJ collective from the Wild Wild West of Wyoming. They spin Breakbeats, Electro House & Dubstep. Consisting of two DJs (Matthew Barnes & DJ Phloax) with 10 plus years of experience behind the 1s and 2s, these well trained disc jockeys easily dominate dancefloors all over the west. The Nazty Boys enjoy dropping beats on a variety of mediums including analog and digital turntables. For the last three years they've held a weekly radio show every Sunday called "Sunday Night Mass" on www.nubreaks.com from 6-8PM MST. They have performed alongside world reknowned acts such as BT, Bassbin Twins, Jackal & Hyde, Agent K & Bella, Rabbit In The Moon, Dara, DJ Monk, and Bassnectar across the United States at events such as: Illuminati 2008 (Denver), Mogollon Music Festival 2008 (Phoenix), Get Freaky 2009 (Salt Lake City) etc.. The Nazty Boys have a distinct style that will be coded into the heads of Def Con attendees for years to come.
