Just last month, historian and data hoarder Jason Scott suddenly found himself with a very hard to refuse but even harder to accomplish situation: come to a warehouse full of electronics manuals and take as many as he can carry. With the help of dozens of volunteers and a very painful few days, over 50,000 manuals went out the door. Jason talks about what sort of world put him into that situation, what the historical meaning of these manuals are, and the lessons learned. Jason talks very fast, but when you run the tape at half-speed, that’s when the devastating messages begin to come out.
