Scientific computing for information security – forging the missing link

Scientific computing for information security – forging the missing link

Scientists rely extensively on scientific compute environments to solve the world’s most challenging problems. The same scientific platforms and principles can effectively solve common systemic challenges across information security programs. This session will demonstrate how to get started with scientific computing, build continuity into the security program, automate documentation and reporting, combine and decorate output from various technologies, produce continuous metrics, and develop a repository of knowledge to increase program maturity. This content has sharpened my own security skills which is why I am excited to share this information with the broader industry! The examples and tooling will be made available in GitHub following the presentation.
