His current security interests include VoIP, medical devices and embedded systems. Merdinger is a technical editor for Cisco Press and Pearson Publishing and has presented at security conferences such as ShmooCon, Hack-in-the-Box, OíReilly, CSI, NoConName, IT Underground, CONfidence and SecurityOpus.
