<p>Android is the open source operating system developed by Google currently in use by at least one cell phone provider. It is based on Linux and allows users to easily install software written for it. This talk will describe the security architecture used by android including application sand boxing. Android specific exploitation techniques will be discussed including using the emulator provided by the Android SDK. A remote exploit will be demonstrated against the G1 phone for a recently patched vulnerability.</p>
