Unlike most hackers, Michael Schrenk writes and speaks about his adventures. Over the past twenty years, he has lectured about information security from Moscow to Silicon Valley, and most places in between. Along the way, he's been interviewed by BBC, The Christian Science Monitor, and many others. In addition to data security issues, Mike has a passion for Data Journalism and has led journalism workshops in Belgium, The Netherlands, and wrote and conducted weekend workshops for The Centre for Investigative Journalism at City College in London. Mike also conducts a Competitive Intelligence consultancy in Las Vegas and is the author of “Webbots, Spiders, and Screen Scrapers" (San Francisco: No Starch, 2012). He is also a seven-time speaker at the notorious DEF CON hacking conference.
