Several years ago, Gobbles and the Unix Terrorist gave a ground breaking talk at Defcon that gave the whitehat community a glimpse of blackhat culture and activities. It seems we have forgotten or never learned the lessons of that presentation. This presentation will discuss some of the events that have happened since (such as major compromises and backdoored security tools) and highlight some things the presenter believes the community should be learning from these events.
