There's been an explosion of interest in BSides, and a lot of people are wanting to set one up in their area. However, there seems to be a lot of misconception about how the process works, and what's really involved.
This talk is a chance for people that are excited about BSides to talk to some organizers of regional BSides events to discuss how they got it rolling, what didn't go as expected, what outright failed, and in general what someone looking to run a BSides is signing up for.
The intent is to include as much real data as possible from different regions, including complete transparency of the financial aspect.
