As security becomes an increasingly mainstream concern, we are challenged with making our products easier to use. Elissa Shevinsky, CTO of the secure photo sharing app Glimpse, will share several highly effective (including some unconventional) ways technologists can make their products more user-friendly.
Elissa Shevinsky (@ElissaBeth) is CTO of Glimpse Labs. She has been building software and startups for fifteen years. Her latest product, Glimpse, is an encrypted, ephemeral photo sharing app (like Snapchat but more secure.) With a mission of "easy to use privacy," Glimpseās early adopters include both hackers and sorority girls. Shevinsky is editing a book on Silicon Valley culture, which will be published by OR Books this spring. Shevinsky can be found all over the internet, and on Twitter as @ElissaBeth. Contrary to popular belief, she is neither a feminist nor a nice girl.
