That's 20 billion things collecting data, 20 billion potential "technological witnesses. How does this impact forensics and investigations? How can you create an investigative hierarchy to ensure your time is properly spent investigating these devices, their apps, and the cloud or other areas where IoT might store data? How do you determine what's relevant and help investigators or operational personnel to see where the data fits into the larger context of their efforts?
Jessica Hyde has experience performing computer and mobile device forensics in both the commercial and government sectors. Jessica has 14 years’ technical experience and holds an MS in Computer Forensics from George Mason University. She is the Director of Forensics for Magnet Forensics (USA) and an Adjunct Professor at George Mason University where she teaches Mobile Forensics.
