Security competitions such as the Collegiate Penetration Testing Competition have fundamentally changed the landscape for training the next generation of security professionals. The ability of competition organizes to build the competition infrastructure directly impacts the immersive experience of the competition. These events aren’t just for college students either. Companies are taking note and trying to use these same techniques to assess and train their staff. At this talk, the presenters will introduce a new tool called “”laforge”” for automating the deployment and creation of these competition environments. Using the latest technologies in cloud DevOps, the presenters have created one of the most feature rich and easy to use tools, allowing competition environments to be rapidly developed and deployed.
